Northwest Florida and Beyond
The FPL Northwest Florida Economic Symposium propels businesses forward

The 2024 Florida Power and Light Northwest Florida Economic Symposium intends to challenge attendees to think beyond the boundaries they’ve set in place. Doing so will help Northwest Florida businesses develop momentum to match or exceed other regions.
The symposium will span March 5-6, 2024, uniting business leaders throughout the Panhandle to hear speakers present on topics to spark action and innovation in the region and network with fellow community leaders. For more information and to register, visit FPLSymposium.com.
“This event is built to gain knowledge, foster new ideas, help attendees think beyond tomorrow and inspire personal action that can strengthen their business and benefit their community,” said J.T. Young, FPL vice president and general manager of Northwest Florida.
The event will include speaker sessions and panel discussions focusing on techniques and advice for advancing businesses and staying competitive in ever-changing markets. Notable speakers will include Crystal Washington, technology trends expert and one of Forbes 50 Leading Female Futurists; Andy Andrews, New York Times best-selling novelist and business consultant; and Brett Culp, award-winning documentary filmmaker and founder of the not-for-profit The Rising Heroes Project.
The $350 registration fee includes breakfast each morning, lunch and a reception following the end of day one. The event will be held at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, with special lodging prices available for symposium attendees.
Throughout both days, networking opportunities and socials will be scheduled, providing plenty of time to forge new connections or reconnect with past associates.
The opportunity to network is one of the highest-rated aspects of the symposium. So, a “Beyond the Tee” golf outing will be available this year, hosted by and benefiting First Tee Gulf Coast. This event is an additional fee and will occur on March 4 at The Raven Golf Club at Sandestin.
The $175 registration includes range, golf and cart, two meal tokens for lunch and snacks before, during, or after play and four beverages.
“It is a once-a-year opportunity to invest in your personal growth and development, make new contacts, build relationships, discover new opportunities, increase your knowledge about the Northwest Florida region and gain new tools that can help you personally and professionally,” said Young.
Event sponsors include signature sponsor Hancock Whitney, diamond sponsor The Jay Odom Group and emerald sponsor Legendary Companies.
