KCCI: Improving Tallahassee for Eight Years

Since 2007, The Knight Creative Communities Institute (KCCI) has engaged citizens to make a positive change in the community by implementing projects and promoting growth. They bring together volunteers called “Community Catalysts” to work on projects that support Tallahassee’s economic mobility and to increase entrepreneurship and attract talent from the area. These projects are aimed to be sustainable and involve bringing a wide variety of people together.

You can become a Community Catalyst with KCCI by applying through their application cycle. 15 Catalysts will be selected to work with local leaders to develop a project that makes life easier for all those in the Tallahassee area. Each Catalyst receives the proper training on the local economy, global trends and creativity. Becoming a KCCI Community Catalyst will enrich your life and the lives of those in the community.

Past projects completed by Community Catalysts include Cultivate Cascades (2011-2012), ELLAvate (2013-2014), and the Frenchtown Farmers Market (2013-2014). Each of these projects has helped those in the Tallahassee community better their lives and make the area more beautiful. View all of the past Catalysts’ projects on their website. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a KCCI Community Catalyst, today is the day to apply! Visit their website and apply by November 15th and do something amazing.
