According to the Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation, average unemployment in the Forgotten Coast Corridor rose from 6.5% in December to 7.43% in January 2009, an increase of 0.93% in just one month.

18: The number of Certified Minority Vendors (CMV) in the Forgotten Coast Corridor registered with the Department of Management Services’ Office of Supplier Diversity. This compares with 836 registered firms in the 850 region and 4,755 statewide. To be registered, CMVs must be woman- or minority-owned.
