Morgan Page is co-owner of Thick Cookie Co., a bakery specializing in thick, chewy cookies that got its start in online and pop-up sales and recently opened a storefront in the Fort Walton Beach downtown area. She hopes her business success will allow others to find the area’s hidden gems and spur it to become a must-visit place for locals and tourists.

What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of?

Building something from nothing by turning a hobby into a full-scale business.

What would you go back and tell newly 20-year-old you?

It’s okay not to have everything figured out, and what’s meant to happen will happen for a reason. Always believe in yourself, and you can do what you set your mind to.

Who is the single greatest person who supported your journey to success?

Matthew Minnix, my partner and co-owner of Thick Cookie Co. has had my back throughout this journey. He believes in me to the point where I can do things I didn’t think I could. He also supports me by handling all the things I am not very good at or would lose my mind doing. This has made us a perfect team.

How do you hope to make an impact within your community?  

I hope that we can be a great addition to Fort Walton Beach, especially the downtown area. It has so much potential to be an amazing spot. It is already full of so many hidden gems and I hope we can one day be a must visit/regular visit place for locals and visitors.

What advice would you give to young people/entrepreneurs with a similar trajectory to yours?

 If you love doing something enough and it brings you genuine happiness in the sense of seeing others light up when you share your talents/gifts with them, then take your chance and do it!
