Amandacampbell

Amanda Campbell leads her life with a servant’s heart. Campbell has been volunteering since she was a little girl, which led to her career path in non-profits. In her role, she raises awareness for Legal Services of North Florida, which provides legal representation for low-income and vulnerable individuals such as children, the elderly, victims of abuse, veterans, and people with disabilities.

What motivates you?

I love finding ways to improve processes and create efficiencies to be able to do more with the resources I have. I enjoy helping others improve something by offering a different perspective. Alternatively, I am constantly listening to adverse opinions and learning from others. By broadening my perspective, I am able to look at situations more objectively and provide neutral feedback with the sole purpose of improvement and growth.

Who is the single greatest person who influenced/supported your journey to success?

My mom. She had me volunteering alongside her from the time I was a little girl, showing me the importance of giving back and leading with kindness. She works incredibly hard at everything she does and still manages to treat everyone she meets with a smile and kind words. If someone has a need and she’s able to fill it, she doesn’t hesitate.  I have adapted my life motto to “work hard and be kind” after learning from her. I aspire every day to be even half the woman my mom is.

What would you go back and tell newly 20-year-old you?

Life gets hard on purpose – Don’t give up and stay true to who you are, because you are going to do great things. Life and relationships in your 20s are not easy, but that’s because you’re only 20 and you have so much more learning and growing to do. You’re at your most resilient stage of life where you can handle the hard things, and although it can be tough, you will come out of it stronger than ever.

How do you hope to make an impact within your community?

Whether it’s helping someone access critical resources, volunteering my free time to support those in need, or educating the community about causes like animal welfare—I believe in showing up and making a difference. If even one person moves forward in life or simply has a better day because of the work I’m doing with these great organizations, then I’ve made the positive impact I hoped for.

What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of?

In my previous role, I had the opportunity to serve as the Volunteer Agency Liaison in Lafayette County following Hurricane Idalia. I had never taken on this specific role before, but I jumped in eager to learn and serve. Over six weeks, I coordinated debris removal from private property alongside volunteers and faith-based organizations. It wasn’t just about logistics – it was about restoring properties and providing hope for a community that had already been through so much yet still poured back into themselves. I still visit from time to time, and witnessing the lasting impact of that work, especially for people who are so deserving of their community’s support, continues to inspire my involvement with non-profits today.
