In 2020, Skylar Nobles launched Tallahassee’s first mobile bar in a time when the future of events seemed uncertain. With persistence, connections, and keeping the importance of celebration at the forefront, Nobles has maintained one of the region’s most sought-after commodities for events from birthday parties to bridal showers. Outside of her roster of businesses – The Fizzy Cart, a frozen drink cart; Sky Blooms Co., a vintage flower Truckster, and Sky Pop Balloons, a luxury balloon and backdrop company – she works full-time in public relations with True Story PR.

What would be the title of your autobiography?

The title would be “Fizz, Foam, and Pop.” Entrepreneurship is a little like mixing the perfect cocktail – equal parts passion, risk, and a splash of creativity. My story is still being written, but one thing’s for sure, it’ll never be flat.

What advice would you give to young people/entrepreneurs with a similar trajectory to yours?

One of the biggest pieces of advice I would give to fresh, younger entrepreneurs is to learn the power of saying no. Especially as a young woman in business, it’s easy to feel like you have to accept every opportunity to stay afloat both financially and reputation-wise. Not every opportunity is the right fit, and it’s okay to prioritize your time, your brand, and your well-being.

Is there a next great project/opportunity that you are excited about?

I’ve got a few things in the works that I’m really excited about. Within the event world, I know that celebrations are a constant in life, but luxury event services aren’t always accessible for everyone. To provide a more flexible and budget-friendly option, I’ve been developing grab-and-go balloon garlands that are premade balloon garlands ready for you to hang, and DIY balloon kits that allow customers to create their own stunning decor.

One of my newest ventures is Tallahassee Gals, a networking and social community designed to support and connect women in the Tallahassee area. Through online and in-person events, this group will offer opportunities for professional networking, business development, and friendship-building.

Outside of Fizz & Foam, I also work full-time in public relations with True Story PR. I’m constantly learning and growing in public relations, working with incredible clients and gaining experience in media relations, hospitality PR, and brand storytelling. I’m excited to see where my career takes me next!

What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of?

The accomplishment I’m most proud of is Fizz & Foam, hands down. Starting Tallahassee’s first mobile bar in 2020 was a brainchild turned into reality, but seeing it grow into a loved part of the local event scene has been the real reward. As a woman-owned, family-run business, it’s been incredible to watch Fizz & Foam become more than just a mobile bar; it has created a community. The relationships I’ve built with local businesses, breweries, and other vendors mean so much to me as a member of Tallahassee’s community, and to Fizz & Foam. I love that I get to highlight and support other small businesses while bringing people together over great drinks.  One of the best parts has been the connections I’ve made along the way. Clients who started as strangers are now lifelong friends, and nothing makes me prouder than seeing repeat customers book us again. It’s the best feeling to watch my little truckster roll up to an event and know I’m a part of someone’s milestone moment. Whether it’s a wedding, a birthday, or just a backyard celebration with friends. Seeing Fizz & Foam, Sky Pop Balloons, The Fizzy Cart, and Sky Blooms Co. become a part of people’s celebrations is what makes it all worthwhile.
